An exhibition celebrating more than 100 years of the Polish community in Hull has opened with the help of local school pupils.

Taking place at the city's Streetlife Museum, Czesc Hull, to my! / Hi Hull, it's us! explores Polish traditions, food, dress and lifestyle.

Hull Museums worked with pupils from The Irena Sendler Polish School and St Mary's Polish School, as well as University of Hull students and the local Polish community.

Joanna Radecka, headteacher at Irena Sendler, said the local Polish community felt "honoured to be acknowledged" and saw the exhibition as a great opportunity to share their culture and efforts with the residents of Hull.
