The first day of the 2025 Isle of Man TT has been shortened due to rainfall around the course.
Roads around the 37.7 mile (61km) Mountain Course were closed at 10:00 BST to allow for a speed controlled lap for newcomers.
But the planned free practice session was then scrapped by clerk of the course Gary Thompson due to the "incoming wet weather".
That followed the earlier cancellation of the afternoon's qualifying session due to the expected downpours.
People have been reminded that the Mountain Road will remain one way in the direction of Douglas when open.
A ban on cycling on the A18 is also in place throughout the TT.
Qualifying for the event is scheduled to run until Friday, with racing due to follow from Saturday until 7 June.
